April 16, 2012 - Birds of a
Feather
The old saying goes: "Birds of a feather flock together." Santa Barbara is certainly graced with a multitude of
variety when it comes to birds. The important thing to remember however, is that although the plumage and colors may
give the impression of difference, in the end, all birds have something in common. The same applies to people!
In the news: A murder-suicide; multiple incidents of stabbings, and an intruder shot by a homeowner were some of the
less savory goings-on in our fair town. On the lighter side, the grey whale migration is in full force and there
were a record number sighted at Coal Oil Point. Earth Day is just around the corner and celebrations are planned; and
the Urban Hikers shed light on the mysterious case of the "Freeway Dummies." Read these stories and more below.
