Scanner Reports 4-16-12
updated: Apr 16, 2012, 7:05 AM

By Roger the Scanner Guy

Happy, Happy, Monday! The sun is out the birds are singing. There was a lotta crime over the weekend. SNOT so much on Sunday as the previous daze. My Neighbors unwillingly got in on some crime last week. A woman was almost sexually assaulted. She was visually assaulted for sure. A homeless man cornered her in the laundry room of their complex on South Milpas. She was bent over digging her clothing out of the dryer when she straightened up and turned there was a man directly behind her staring at her body, blocking her from leaving momentarily. I did not get the jerks description. I think they are all kinda in shock about it. That would scare me if someone was standing behind me like that. I'd probably tackle the sumabeach, crushing him against the back wall. I did that to my company commander in the Navy, he wasn't too happy about that. I got this thing about people sneaking up behind me. I could understand her fear and disgust when she turned and observed this puke staring at her expecting sex. From what her friend shared with me that is how it sounded. I hear that WASP Spray is good for scum bags like that. Maybe next time I get paid I'll make sure they got a can for their laundry room.

Seems like spring has affected the crime rate also. There was much more this weekend than last if this is any indication of what thy Summer has in store for us we might be in trouble. Although from the sounds over the Scanner of SBPD's take downs I would not want to be on the receiving end of their wrath, SNOT at all. If nothing else they do take care of us to the BEAST of their ability. Some may say 6 minutes is a slow response time for emergency calls but I listen to a Scanner a lot and I'd have to say in most cases it's 2-3 minutes tops.

I was a talking to my Mama on Sunday she told me Chicago is having alotta homicides - mostly from Drive By shootings. I thought she was exaggerating when she said 46 people were shot dead in a weekend in Chicago, maybe she meant in a week. A Chicago Police officer told her that officers were getting laid off and there's not enough police officers in Chicago to control crimes, especially violent crimes. He also said that violent crime such as homicide is growing across the United States and the reason it for it is DRUGS, and GANGS. I have to wonder how many are under the influence of alcohol when they do their deeds.

Alcohol was always my drug of choice when I broke the law - which mostly consisted of people running away and things flying. I appreciate all of you who report crimes to the police and those of you that take the time to report them on Edhat with stories and sometimes pictures.
