Stabbing in the 1000 Block of Del Mar Avenue

On April 13, 2012 at 11:56 p.m., Santa Barbara Police Officers and Firefighters responded to a call of a stabbing on the 1000 block of Del Mar Avenue. Officers located two victims, a 23-year old white male and a 40-year old white male, each with multiple stab wounds. Both victims were transported by paramedics to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. The 23-year old victim has been treated and released, however the 40-year old victim has been admitted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Investigation indicates that the incident occurred at a party that was taking place on the 1000 block of Del Mar Avenue. Witnesses report that the two victims were involved in an argument with several suspects that turned into a physical altercation. During the fight both victims were stabbed.

Additional details are being withheld as this investigation is still on-going. No arrests have been made.
