April 2, 2012 - A Fool for Surfin'
April 1 is a day for pranks, but Mother Nature wasn't fooling around Sunday, delivering swells up to 8 feet tall. Surfers gladly seized the opportunity to "hang ten."
There was a community celebration for Cesar Chavez's life and continuing legacy of activism on what would have been his 84th birthday Saturday. A permanent memorial honoring fallen SB County firefighters was dedicated at the county fire headquarters in Santa Barbara on Saturday. These stories and more below.
