March 29, 2012- The Web of Life

Aquaholic caught a Junco with its beak in the proverbial cookie jar, so to speak. The bird had a strand of spider 's web still attached to its beak, but alas, no sign of the spider!
Life is beautiful and cruel, and it's said we're all attached to it by the slimmest, gossamer, silver, strand.

In the news: Babatunde Folayemi, an eloquent and outspoken advocate for Santa Barbara's youth passed away Wednesday. The homeless population in Santa Barbara also lost an important advocate when Ken Williams, a SB County homeless outreach worker retired unexpectedly. Read these stories and more below.
