Spring is a state of mind.
Spring is the time the Earth turns kind.
All that ice and all that snow,
Now's the time for it to go.
Gently now the ground comes seeking,
More often we find sunbeams peeking.
It's the time to buy some seed,
For all the crops that we will need.
Radishes so red and rosy,
Next to the carrots soon they cozy.
Tips of green can now be seen
Where the asparagus has always been.
Tomato vines and soon some corn,
From tiny plants so sweetly born.
Row on row of tasty things
Soon fill our sight and quickly brings,
Delicious dishes to our table,
Prepared in ways that will enable
Hearts and minds to sing the praise
Of all the gifts that Spring will raise.
