Antique Coffee Pots
updated: Mar 11, 2012, 5:21 PM
I am seeking appraisal of 12 beautifully restored, varying size/ pattern copper,
brass & sterling antique coffee pots from Kuwait, Jakarta, Tripoli & Oman.
Long before Dubai was a household name (just 2 bldgs & a brackish creek) mom had
an eye for old junk looking pots. She brought them to Denver during summer
visits, had them stripped & polished.

Just FYI, "beautifully restored" often means "innocently destroyed". Collectors want the patina these days, showing the life that artifacts have lived. Cookware may be different.

We had Bonhams & Butterfield's in Los Angeles appraise - and sell at auction - some antiques. Check their website. FYI, JTOWN makes a very good point about "restored."

Elizabeth Stewart - ElizabethAppraisals@gmail.com is very good - have used her services and was very pleased with the results. Her office is in SB near the Athletic Club.

Thanks to all. 'Patina' is intact and lovely. Mom was a pro. Appreciate the input.
