Selma Rubin has died just short of her 97th Birthday. She has been a tireless advocate for environmental protection, social justice and civil liberties in this community for almost 50 years. She founded or served on the boards of 42 non-profit organizations and was a mentor to progressive activists and elected officials who greatly admired and listened to her. She died on Mar. 8 from lung cancer. For those wanting to make contributions in her name, SB CAN has been suggested, an organization she felt passionately about. She will be very missed.
