This is my dog Max with his good friend Riley, my daughter's dog, after a day at the beach. Max is a Bichon Frise, and he arrived in my life by accident about 2 years ago. He was bought by a woman in Santa Barbara who found she could not take care of a puppy, so a mutual friend asked if I wanted him. Since my daughter had just moved to LA with Riley, and I missed them both, I said yes.

Well, I soon realized how much work puppies can be (he was not crate trained or housebroken), but we survived. He has been a wonderful friend and companion. He loves the beach, chasing balls and birds, jumping in the ocean, and generally thinks he is lab. He is very mellow and generally always happy. Really a joy to have around!
