Scanner Reports 2-09-12
updated: Feb 08, 2012, 7:00 AM

By Roger the Scanner Guy

So since Monday after I read that comment of my spewing misinformation and getting my garbage straight? The information I received about the incident came from someone I've known for many years, and the person has never lied to me. I sure didn't think by leaving a comment in that thread I would receive such a hostile remark. But from what I gather there's only one side to every story in Santa Barbara, and if you don't agree with it you're a scum sucking maggot like the homeless and the poor, some people of color. I never really thought of myself as a white male anyway. The covering is white but there's a whole bunch of otter people inside, while they can be loud and obnoxious they don't threaten each otter. They get too loud - I just give ‘em a little Ativan. Some people would really benefit taking Ativan in this town. It's so nice that we live in a FREE COUNTRY where one could make a statement or share their opinion without FEAR of being squashed by someone else.

"Without Fear or Favor of Friend or Foe." That's an old classic that used to be in the News Suppressed editorial page many years ago. I like to comment on it now and then. It seems to me that many have forgotten those few words. Of course it's a FREE COUNTRY, no one has to practice it.

Another friend of mine asked me how I was enjoying the Depression? Just fine I said I've lived with lifelong depression it's pretty much normal now. Of course he was talking about the other Depression the one we all get to experience. I did not agree with him that the Nude World Odor depression was like the Great Depression of 1929, but then he added "It's getting worse. No end in sight more and more people becoming homeless." - Which I have to totally agree with. I see new people out on the streets all the time. Different crimes being committed either someone off their medication? - Or someone new in town. HELL maybe it's both! Maybe a few too many Gemini's just moved to town recently, probably from Chicago too!

Well, I think from now on when someone tells me something I'm going to require them to show me proof. Even if it's my mother, ‘cause you know the authorities always tell the tooth. And Mamma, well she can stretch things a little too far. I used to think those people who had those bumper stickers on their cars that said "Question Authority" Were not right in the head. Now I know they are not right in the head. I'm one of them, and you can't be right in the head to question authority. If someone told me I was going to sober up and question authority when I was 21, I woulda kept drinking!
