I just got my bike fixed by cnc cycle repair. I heard about them through a friend on campus, and it's a cool deal. They're mobile...but it wasnt one of those dudes who comes in his car to get your bike. they have a cool fedex style truck with a legit workshop built into it. I needed my chain replaced, a new tire and tube, and new cables...they had it all on hand. Prices were good, but dude, they pickup and deliver! Cool new company.

Bicycle Bob's in Goleta (Storke Road) and mid-town (Hitchcock Lane) is a terrific full service bike shop for both sales and repair. Knowledgeable, friendly and conscientious staff and a sizable inventory should solve most of your problems at a reasonable price. We are fortunate to have in our area so many great cycling resources; I'm not knocking any others but Bob's is where I go for most of my many cycling needs.

Bob's is by far the best. I've been going to them faithfully for ten plus years.

Cranky's on State Street. Yes, it is not in Goleta, but the service is the best in town.

Call my friend Marco at 805-448-5887. He's a professional mobile bike tech. Yes-he'll come right out to wherever you are and take care of all your bike needs from cleaning to any major work. He's a great guy and he knows his stuff.

Bicycle Bob's is the absolute worst. Been biking for 15 years and their prices are high, and they overlook anything that you did not specifically ask about, and they take forever. Velo Pro is much better in every area, and there is one in old town Goleta.

I second Bicycle Bob's, they can do it all... from cruisers up through your carbon fiber high tech road bike. The 2 IV Bike shops on Pardall are good too... for a cruiser they are the most practical.

Check out the tiny little bike shop next door to Goleta Sushi in Old Town. I never used them, but can't imagine they're expensive.
