The Santa Barbara International Film Festival wrapped up this weekend. A good time was had by all in attendance.

The cinematic world lost two film-makers saturday, when the helicopter carrying Mike deGruy and Andrew Wight crashed in Australia.

If you missed the film festival, don't miss 3rd weekend; a community event that shows highlighted films from the festival for free, at the Riviera Theatre.

On Saturday morning the Urban Hikers headed south to the L.A. County Museum of Art (LACMA) to check out the California Design - Living in a Modern Way - exhibit. It was a remarkably clear day, the mountains just popped out at us and the diversion down Sunset Blvd. to Fairfax was quite amusing.
