Does anyone know of a sign company in SB that answers their phone besides SB Signs?

Call Goodland Signs at 683-4600 or check their website at goodlandsigns dot com. I had the EXACT same problem when I was trying to get some signs made a few years ago. I found Goodland Signs and they've done everything for us since then from the menus boards at our restaurant to vehicle graphics and T-Shirts. Prices are better than other places (when I could even get a quote) and the owner is easy to work with.

Maybe they don't answer their phone because they are out painting signs. They keep their overhead low and hence your charges are lower because they don't pay a human to sit there to answer the phone. Really? That's how you'll chose the sign company? If they answer their phone with a human or with a message?

Two votes for Goodland Signs. I've worked with most sign companies in Santa Barbara and found them to be the best price, most responsive and talented design and layout work.

So you expect to be greeted by a human voice every time you call the business? You couldn't have left a message stating you were interested in a quote and given them your cell phone number and waited for the reply? I just don't get this attitude that the criteria for selecting a merchant or craftsman depends on whether or not a human answers the phone at the place of business. Leave a message. They'll get back to you with a quote and you can go from there.

I agree with the poster who mentioned keeping the overhead low. A lot of small businesses are foregoing with the phone answer-er. With all the extra's worker's comp, 401k matching...it's ludicrous. Leave a message. Someone will call you back.
