FRYday…The bestest day of the week. I'm always telling you guys to keep your doors locked even if you take out the trash, check the mail, it only takes a second for someone to get in and out of your house. I left my door open and unattended the other day for a minute maybe two. Just went next door to get Pooh Bear. I was only gone a second I could see my place from where I was. I didn't notice it missing until yesterday. A red heart crystal from France I found while cleaning out an old abandoned garage years ago. I looked everywhere for it. There were other things worth more that could have been taken. I keep thinking I put it somewhere, but I looked just about everywhere. I won't know for sure until I totally move everything out but I think it got grabbed. In and out, that quick.
I heard a burglary the other day the person was gone 20-25 minutes someone broke into their home and took a laptop, It was in the 400 Block of DLV. Don't be like me. Lock your doors watch your stuff. It only takes a second for someone to rip you off. I've noticed some comments and questions concerning crimes that are happening overnight. I usually sleep at night, there are times when I cannot sleep or I wake up real early and cannot get back to sleep but generally I'm sleeping. I don't hear every crime that occurs in the County, but I hear a lot. As far as the burglary on Hollister at 2:20am I was in La La Land but I have heard of more criminal activity in that area. The best advice I can tell anyone is get an alarm. Some people sleep in their businesses but I would not advise that unless you have nowhere else to go.
When Al owned the gas station across the street he was in the Doghouse a lot. He was sleeping in that gas station with a shotgun to keep him warm. One night, someone picked up the outdoor ashtray and threw it thru the door, entered and ripped the place off. The story was he slept through the whole thing - who knows? He was probably in his office drinking, smoking, and watching porno on the computer and did not want to be bothered. I can't imagine someone being 10 feet away from that noise and not waking up.
The Fire Department got me on Thursday with that Earthquake Drill. I had just sat upon my throne, LA Times, coffee when suddenly someone said something about a building collapse at City College and they did not have the number of students trapped in the rubble. I was up bolting for the computer when I realized it was the Earthquake Drill. Those Fire Department guys will get you every time...I'm really glad it was just a drill.

Scanner Reports, Thursday:
I woke up at 3:30 in the morning; Pooh Bear loves to cuddle with my left arm, I sleep on my right side this poses a problem. We have an agreement though that I'm allowed to sleep a few hours until I take a break to go to the you-know-where, for you-know-what. After that I have to give up the arm. Usually I cannot sleep after this so I lay there listening to the Scanner.
This morning I heard a couple police officers searching for a possible lost tourist, they found him.
I thought I heard something about a car accident at first West Cabrillo.
Then an elevator rescue but the guy that was in the Elevator cancelled. I got stuck in an elevator with a date once when the doors opened a fireman threw a bucket of water on us.

In IV a postman sprayed a dog that was attempting to attack him. This was on Picasso. I used to live there in the 6600 Block. The owner of the dog took off after the postman and chased him all over town. The last I heard the postman was hiding in the 700 Block of Camino Del Sur.

Suspicious Males near the Clark Estate one WMA, one BMA, both NAKED as Jay Birds. Just like standing there as if they were at a cocktail party. Somehow I get the idea someone told them it was a nude beach. I heard that too when I first got here.
Suspicious male going Door to Door in the area of 300 West Pedregosa, he told people that he was a heater repair person and he was looking for work. HMA, Tattoos.
2 Gals with open containers sitting in a car in front of Albertsons on Cliff Drive they did not say what was in the containers. Might have been drinking frog juice for all I know.
Search and Rescue said something about a call at Upper OSO and being shorthanded, but then I heard nothing more.
Report of three subjects swimming in Alice Keck Park Pond. I bet the snapping turtles got a little meal out of them. I got pinched by something skinny dipping in a park pond once when I was a young man, notice I said was. Got my foot took a chunk out of, to this day I have no idea what bit me. Coulda been a zombie.
I heard a wayward call about someone running into a gold sedan in the 1200 Block of San Pasqual, I never turd if they was in a car or on foot. You never know around here weird things happen when the Sun goes down.
97 year old fall victim head injury Samarkand Magnolia West. Been hearing a lot of those elderly fall victim head injuries lately I get kinda suspicious decided to list them just in case.

Possible kidnap attempt in a city lot. I didn't hear much about it after the initial call but a woman told police that a man attempted to drag her into his car that is all I heard.
