Tuesday morning's stunning sunrise was dedicated to a reader's friend who passed away last weekend. With such a brilliant mix of colors, something special must have been shining through.

In local news, a local Spudnuts store was robbed Tuesday night; a UCSB sociology professor received a $300,000 grant to study gang youth, and police are seeking information about an antique lamp stolen from the Arlington.
