Chinese New Year

The Santa Barbara Museum of Art hosted Chinese New Year events in their "Nights" style on
Friday, January
20.
The museum was packed to capacity. Attendees dressed up for the occasion in a big way. There
were
creative opportunities for painting, writing wise sayings, making decorations, masks and more. And plenty
of drinks being served.
On stage was a series of performances not on any particular schedule. Although I was there for
over two
hours, I caught some and missed some.
Here are my photos!

According to Wikipedia: "Chinaman (term) is period term referring to a Chinese person in the 1800 era. In the 21st century it has taken on an offensive stigma." Is there a reason for your question?
