Restaurant Referral for Large Party
updated: Jan 17, 2012, 5:33 PM

Any suggestions for a dinner place in Santa Barbara for a girls soccer team? It would be on Saturday March 18th for roughly 35-40 people, and half of them are 17-year-old girls. Something fun & fairly reasonable ($20-30 each). Any type of food is okay, but it must be able to handle a group this size.

We held my rehearsal dinner at Casa Las Palmas. You can fit up to 50 and it's right across the street from the beach. Silvergreens will deliver there.

Check out Petrini's on Calle Real. I was in there the other night with our volleyball team. They put our party of about 40 in their private banquet room where we got to play their Xbox Kinnect and watch game footage on the big screen. The kids had a blast!

And if I recall, the prices and portions were very reasonable. Perfect Italian place to carb up before a game. Hope this helps!

I will second the EBar, they have a nice back room that we used to use for meetings and such and the food is in your price range easily

35 to 40 people? When they forced me to play football (soccer), we only had 11 on a team.

EBar, Petrini's, also the Mesa Cafe (they have a new room that is separate), Harry's and Marmalade have separate rooms for these types of things. Definitely get a separate area. I would hate to be in the restaurant eating when a bunch of teenage girls get together and sit near me ......

All the previous are great ideas. I also recently checked in at Holdrens Grill in Goleta and they have a room too. So does Cody's at Turnpike.

DEFINITELY call Warren at Marmalade Cafe. They have a large private dining area that can accommodate your group or inquire about the Butler Event Center and they can bring in catering. Warren will give you 5-star service at a reasonable price! Their food is EXCELLENT!

Arnoldi's has a nice backroom, or the patio for a group that size. Harry's can accommodate a crowd, but you might want to see if the back room is available.

SoHo is awesome. They have a large dining area in the back and they don't charge for it. Had my 40th bday there and the food and atmosphere were awesome. You can order up the appetizers in advance for the whole group, and they're hearty enough to call it finger food dinner!
