Surf Adventures with Good Friends

Here's the deal...a good surf adventure includes a backpack, cold beer, a surfboard and lots of laughter. If the surf is good, that's icing on the cake.
I took one of those trips last week with my friends, Tom Modugno and Jim Daniels up in Northern California. It was a clear, windless day and the surf was good.
I'm always impressed by an athlete that can take a sport, any sport, to a unique level of perfection; that turns their sport into a graceful art form. Jim Daniels is one of those people. The guy rides a longboard as well as anyone I've ever met. I think what made the session so impressive to me was the amount of time Jim spent casually perched on the nose of his board while racing across the face of the wave. He made it look effortless.
Here's to good friends, good adventures in life and lots of laughter.
