Washed Up Shark
updated: Dec 28, 2011, 9:10 AM

It was a gorgeous morning at Coal Oil Point. Thanks to the original poster, we went out to see if we could find the dead shark first thing this morning. It was a great opportunity to get a close-up look at a beautiful creature. I'm looking through my shark books to see if we can figure out what kind it is; the teeth don't look like salmon shark teeth in my books. Maybe an expert out there can tell us what he is.

I think it might be a seven-gill shark-- the teeth match in my book. No front dorsal fin either.
