Mission Ridge Sierra Club Hike Photos
updated: Dec 20, 2011, 7:53 PM
By Robert Bernstein
Recently I led a Sierra Club hike to what we call Mission Ridge. This is a high ridge between Rattlesnake
Canyon and Mission Canyon.
I like to lead it from the Tunnel Trail, up across the ridge for a view and a lunch break on the peak. Then
down to the Edison service road, then back down to Tunnel Road.
It was a beautiful clear day. Notably, the sky was filled with paragliders and hang gliders! At one point
there were a dozen or more in the sky at once!
A few strong hikers went ahead of the leader, which allowed for some unique photos at a distance.
Here are my photos!
Best wishes,
Robert
