Another Monday, Monday...My Muda she kills me! All these years I thought I was nuts, she finally told me the truth. We used to go to Eagle River, Wisconsin every year for a family vacation. One year, the resort where we rented a cabin was full so we moved to the resort next door. At night there was this older man who would walk out near the lake and he'd have a cigarette. He had bad breathing as if he had problems with his lungs. I'd see him at night walking around from the cabin where I slept on the enclosed front porch. I thought with breathing like that he was ready to fall over.
Throughout my life with my asthma I thought someday I'm going to breathe like that guy. The older I get the worse it's gonna get. I'd tell my Mom about the man with the bad breathing. She must have fought hard to keep a straight face. I was telling her today 46 years later that someday I'm going to breathe just like that poor man in Eagle River. My Muda started cracking up over the phone and then she told me the truth. There was a bear that slept under the front enclosed porch of our cottage. She told me she did not tell me about the bear then because she didn't want me to get scared. Sure got me good because all these years I thought that bear's breathing was actually bad lungs. Too bad it did not keep me from smoking cigarettes for 33 years.
A lot of "Shots Fired" Calls lately, most of them in the back hills and North County - some hunting going on. I'm not really sure why the shooting is going on in the city - Hell raisers or Troublemakers. Seems like between hearing the calls and some of the shots myself seems like there have been more "Shots Fired" lately than any other time besides New Year's Eve or the 4th of July. What is going on? Anyone know?
Someone mentioned the otter day that the holidays are coming up. A lot of people get ripped off this time of year it's better to be safe than sorry. Keep your valuables locked up, and your car. Keep note of new people walking around your HOOD. Unless you don't care, then just get more insurance. It seems like lately, every time someone is given an opportunity, they take advantage of it.
I'm on antibiotics now, feeling quite a bit better. I was afraid to take them because of an allergic reaction, now I'm afraid to not have them I've been feeling better. Maybe I'll axe my doctor for a refill. My shower is fixed, now I have 150.00 dollars' worth of paint to put on the walls after I scrub the HELL out of them next week. I sure hope I don't get sick again, at least not for a while. I've been sick for 2 months - it really SUCKED! I'd really like to ride my bicycle again. Monday I'll be picking up some cleaning supplies then going for it. I have a little energy now. Maybe it's from Panderia Verconics Baked Rolls - been eating them every day over a week now. Now they have tamales a dozen for 18.00 buckaroni's. I'm getting big again and I really don't care. Happy Monday.
