Transcriber Machine Repair

I am looking for someone who can fix a transcriber machine right away. It can rewind but will only play for a few seconds and then eat the tape. Help.

Have you tried Chuck Rogers? He does typewriter repair (yes people still use them). I don't know if he does transcriber repairs but he may be able to refer you to someone if not.

Clean everything the tape comes in contact with using Q-tips and denatured alcohol. If that doesn't work, it probably needs new belts and possibly rollers. Parts might be hard to find now days, since everything is going digital. It might be time for a new machine then.

I second Chuck Rogers - their tech fixed the 2 typewriters we have here and did a great job.
