Are there any all-you-can-eat salad bars in the area? I'm hoping to find an affordable one with a nice variety of items. Thanks!

We goin Sizzler, We goin Sizzler. (only one in town) I really like the one at Lazy Acres, but it is really pricey for just one serving.

Sizzler's is your best bet for most affordable with all you can eat. I'm not sure that Rusty's is all you can eat though, I thought it was supposed to be single trip.

This time of year (cold/flu season) make sure a good "sneeze guard" is in evidence. You don't want unwanted "visitors" hitching a ride on your lettuce!

Yes, I would not complain if a Souplantation opened up in SB or Goleta.

Vons, Ralphs, and Albertsons have Salad Bars. Probably the best price in town. Soup or Salad.

093P - they closed because new owners bought them and wanted to remodel - they are supposed to be open by the end of the year. My vote goes to Souplantation in Cam - worth the drive esp with all the other stuff that is down there.

Home Town Buffet in Oxnard has a great selection of salads and full meals. It is just off Rose Avenue to the south of the freeway. Also reasonable. I wish we could have one in Santa Barbara.

OP: I think you're out of luck for local finds other than Sizzler. At least for an AYCE bar - there are tons of salad bars, but AYCE is getting more rare... Sharon93111: Do you know of any places in SB that have an AYCE salad bar with dinner? Sizzler is the only one I know of. I'm fairly certain Rusty's is a one-trip deal.

I don't know about their new location at the Showgrounds, but Woody's BBQ in the Magnolia Shopping Center has an all-you-can-eat salad bar available for only $6.95. I can attest that the salad bar at Woody's is much better than the meat they sell.

On Wednesdays at Whole Foods, they knock a few bucks off the price of the 'to go' stuff....even with the discount it ain't exactly cheap, but the selection is unbelievable, and really good quality. This is our go-to spot for dinner on Wednesdays....everyone can get exactly what they want!

Its all about extending the size of your one trip salad bowl by lining the outer rim with cucumber slices, it gets you a extra inch salad room.

the savoy cafe on figueroa has a nice, healthy salad bar, though it is not all you can eat. both the palms and tony's in carpinteria have salad bars, though i am not sure they are all you can eat. gelsons has a salad bar, but again, just a one trip deal.

Have to say Souplantation though it's hardly in the neighborhood. And yes, why don't they open one here? Lazy Acres and Whole Foods pricey and aren't "all you can eat." Sorry, but not a Sizzler fan at all.

Local? Affordable? All you can eat? Salad bar? Sizzler is the only one. All others are either not so affordable, not so local or not all you can eat.

Savoy Cafe on Figueroa. Next to one of the oldest dive bars in SB, the Sportsman. Good fresh salad bar, local owners. And if after all that healthy food you need a big, strong drink........the bar next door.
