This is Carlos, he is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix aka a "Chiweenie," "Mexican Hot Dog," or "German Taco," whichever you prefer. Carlos is a little over a year and a half old and is the joy of our lives.
He is a rescue from the wonderful people at K9 Pals and came home with us in September. They believed he was abused in his previous home and said he would take a lot of patience, but since warming up to us, he has become the most loyal love bug you could ever imagine.
Carlos loves playing fetch down our long hallway and warming himself on the floor by the living room window. He is definitely a big dog trapped in a little body and has quite the confident attitude in his walk. He is a huge Chicago Cubs fan like his grandpa George in Dubuque, IA, and loves playing on the sand at Butterfly Beach. Carlos is also a downtown dog and occasionally enjoys walks down State St. for outdoor dinners with Mom and Dad at Pascucci, Kahuna Burger, or Rudy's.
