Jets in SB

This morning jets were crisscrossing the sky in SB and leaving behind big white trails that are fanning out and turning the sky from blue to white. Any ideas what is going on? There was another jet that had a regular contrail that just misted away within seconds. These seem different. Are others seeing this?

They are the normal Friday flight paths, the contrail ice crystals simply remain longer due to the particular atmospheric conditions. The "regular contrail" is simply at a different altitude which is not apparent to you due to the great distance to any of the planes. You are not being sprayed, dosed or infected, so pull up a chair and grab your old science 101 textbook from the bookcase and relax.

Contrails. It's cold in the upper atmosphere this morning. Some claim that this is cloud seeding that the government does to manipulate the weather.

I saw these too around 7:00 AM and wondered what they were . Although I'm not conspiracy-minded about such things, they did look strange. Jets seemed to be soaring up rather than across the horizon. I wondered if it were part of some type of maneuver/test by military aircraft?

Today what we saw are chemtrails, not contrails. The trails are part of a clandestine program by the US government. No one is really sure what exactly is in them but chemical or biological agents are suspected. The purpose of the chemical release may be for solar radiation management, population control, weather control, or biological warfare/chemical warfare, also these trails are suspected of causing respiratory illnesses and other health problems.

Contrails (due to weather) dissappate at the same rate of speed as the plane. Chemtrails remain and spread out.

306? That is one of the most unscientific things I've read in a while. Dissipation is dependent upon conditions: temperature, humidity, wind, particulate counts... There are just a many exhaust pollutants in trails that dissipate quickly as those that linger.

Thanks Macpuzl! I saw that at 6:45 this morning and thought it looked like a rocket launch. I grabbed my camera bag but I had forgotten my camera. Only on Edhat do the answers appear.

Yup it's chemtrails, especially if they crisscross. They've been common all over northern New Mexico for years and got the locals all riled up they started to stockpile weapons and supplies up in the mountains. It's time to do that here too.

The direct route from LAX to the Pacific Rim goes right over Santa Barbara. You can prove this with a bit of string and a globe. This, of course, assumes that you have accepted that the earth is round, not flat.

565P.... yes the world is indeed round, in places. But flights as you describe would leave parallel contrails not criss crossing ones.

They fly from LAX over San Marcos VOR ( a navigation beacon) on our ridge. This is a High Altitude VOR and all Asia, Pacific Northwest and returning Europe flights on most days fly directly over it. Go up to East Camino Cielo and look at the VOR, it is a 15 foot high Pillar.

The photo from Ventura is the missile launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base. Chemtrails are the solid phase of chemical dihydrogen monoxide.

JETS IN THE SKY OVER SB THIS ALL BEGAN WITH A VIST TO THE VENTURA POLICE DEPARTMENT LAST AUGUST TO INQUIRE WHETHER I WAS UNDER SURVEILLANCE. I NOW LIVE IN SANTA BARBARA. IT IS HOMELAND SECURITY.
