The coast of Big Sur is endlessly fascinating for me, and flying South in late afternoon provides great views. When the ubiquitous fog cooperates. This pic of the Point Sur Light demonstrates why lighthouses also have fog horns. After relishing this magnificent stretch of California coast, a visual dip in the iconic Hearst Castle pool is an easy way to transition back toward more developed areas like Cambria just beyond.
