We always use Chief Sweep. He's a fireman with his own cleaning business. Knows his job well. I've gotta call him. Glad this came up!!

Second recommendation for Chief Sweep. He did a great job inspecting and cleaning our fireplace after we bought our house in 2004. Very clean and thorough. He recommended minor improvements which we purchased and he installed. As a skeptical engineer I am suspicious of what I perceive as up-selling, but he gave clear explanations and reasoning for his suggestions. Everything he recommended has worked exactly as he said it would. He knows his fireplaces.

Nostalgics Fireplace in Santa Maria. They have cleaned our chimney and they installed a Danish fireplace insert for us in Santa Barbara. Great service, very reasonably priced. They service the SYV.

Nostalgic's did our initial FP inspection when we bought the home. Replaced front fascia/mantel at their recommendation (due to a crack between drywall and FP). Chief Sweep came out to clean the chimney after the replacement so we could use the FP. He didn't agree with their assessment that we needed to replace everything. Only issue w/ Chief Sweep was that it was difficult to get in touch with them and schedule something. Several weeks of phone tag. This was a couple years ago though.
