Surf Shacks

Nothing tests our Neanderthal survival skills quite like building a surf shack. Tom Hanks in Cast Away, if you will.
Driftwood, wayward fishing line and weathered nylon rope found half-buried in the sand are the primary necessities. Scavenged tarps and buoys make for more elaborate surf shacks, but I'm drawn to the simple driftwood ones.
The ideal surf shack overlooks a clean surf break and is, ideally, off the beaten path.
A surf shack is a great place to spit sunflower seeds and swill cold beer while waiting for the tide to change.
