My cat Max went through the Tea Fire in a culvert at the end of our driveway. It took me two months to entice him to come out and stay with me in our temporary housing while our replacement house was built.

We're now moving into the new house, and he's getting used to it.

Max and his two sisters were rescued in 1995 from in front of a grocery store at three weeks of age by a cat rescue volunteer who then gave him to us at seven weeks old, house trained and with a coupon for free neutering. He's been a great friend during trying times!
