Does anyone know where to find a good, vegetarian, Asian noodle soup?
Thank you!

I have been to Sojourner dozens of times and have never seen an Asian noodle soup on the menu or specials...

Saigon In & Out. At least two locations, perhaps three: 1230 State St and 318 N Milpas, and I'm not sure if 3987 State St is the same owner as the first two or not.

Itsuki on Calle Real. Don't be fooled by the outside appearance. The food there is so authentic and delicious :)

Beware, many Asian "vegetarian" soups have some sort of animal product in the broth.

I have done much research on this. As a Vietnam vet I spent many years in that country eating the local culinary flavors. I also married a little Viet Cong girl who can cook your bamboo shorts off, if you know what I mean. With all this information the best stuff I have ever had is a delicacy called "cup of noodles". A close second is another pre-prepared item called, "top ramen". Just add water and and stir. Then sit your oversized back end down on that flea bitten couch of yours and watch a few hours of the military channel. Nothing like three or four bowls of Top Ramen and two hours of watching carpet bombing of Cambodia. Throw in a few ice cold 16 oz. Bia Hoi's and you got a great day! Hope this helps!

5400 -- not sure if your comment will get yanked or not, but you should consider writing a short story (as long as you use paragraphs properly).

Tofu pho at Saigon = addictive. My go to for comfort food or sick food. Yum!

We've eaten at the Saigon Vietnamese place on upper State near the Petco a few times and it is fairly good - supposedly vegetarian. However, since go to L.A. a lot, and the Bay area, we prefer eating at Vinh Loi Tofu in the valley or if we're in the Bay area, the Loving Hut chain isn't too bad. If you don't mind another recommendation -- if you are in Santa Monica -- we went here recently and were very impressed with the foods at the new chain, the Veggie Grill. The sweet potato fries were amazing!
