Flagstone Cleaning
updated: Sep 14, 2011, 9:03 AM

I'd like to get a referral for someone with experience to power wash our flagstone (a gentle wash that leaves the flagstone intact but cleaned of all ground-in dirt).

Evershade, Hogwash, Pacific Coast Powerwash, SB Pressure Washing, SB Waterworks - all Clean Water Certified, so they'll contain the wash water and dispose of it properly.

I bought one from Costco a few years ago...it wasn't very expensive and its easy to operate and do yourself. If you're like me, and actually enjoy seeing things get clean before your eyes, (think, polishing silver) you might like it! I've used mine to clean all sorts of stuff around our home, including the flagstone patio, outdoor furniture, umbrellas, etc....you can use it on just about anything! It's actually kinda addicting, call me crazy!

Be aware that no wash water is allowed to flow into streets or drains. The drains all flow into the ocean.

aqua: sort of like starting a chainsaw to cut one branch. Immediately you look around to see what else you could cut!

Be careful when PW flag. You can easily flake the surface with too much pressure. Better to let it stay dirty - call it patina.

Based on the referral for Continental Services, we gave them a call. They came the same day to look at the job and give an estimate. Today they arrived as scheduled (and on time), did a beautiful job, and charged exactly as estimated. Couldn't be happier. Thanks to all for your input and to EdHat for providing such a terrific referral service.
