While vacationing with relatives in upstate NY I had the opportunity to attend one of the many local 9-11 memorials. These images are from the Wilton NY fire department's memorial. Many fire fighters from there went down to New York City on that fateful day to assist in the efforts. They were able bring a piece of girder back with them. A local artist, miChelle M. Vara, then used her talents to form a sculpture she called Respectful Remembrances. There are two images is of the sculpture and one image of miChelle M. Vara and the fireman who obtained the piece if girder. I do not remember his name. The other pictures are of her work that is displayed outside her studio.
