updated: Sep 07, 2011, 4:02 PM

Source: Caltrans

A project to re-stripe Hwy. 101 from Mariposa Reina to Old Coast Highway including the Nojoqui Grade is now underway.

Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions of Hwy. 101 Thursday, Sept 8 and Friday, Sept. 9 from 7 am to 3 pm and during the overnight hours from 7 pm to 6 am. All lanes of traffic will remain open southbound between 7 am and 9 am and northbound from 3 pm to 7 pm.

Motorists can expect a delay not to exceed 10 minutes.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through Caltrans construction zones.

For traffic updates on other state highway projects in Santa Barbara County, motorists can call Caltrans District 5 Public Affairs at 805-568-0858 or visit the District 5 website
