Energy Use
updated: Sep 06, 2011, 2:10 PM

I'm looking for someone who performs energy use assessments (sometimes called audits) to see where my old house is losing heat, and needs sealing, insulation, etc. I've seen people do this on home improvement shows, and it reveals substantial, cost-saving. Anyone local who's good at this?

Check with The Gas Company & Edison as the both have programs for homeowners which may be free.

Otherwise Gas co or Edison are a good place to start

Don't forget the City Water & Trash company.. They will come out for-free and do an assessment, which might make you eligible for cheaper rates.

the SLO Co. E.O.C. used to do that, (not sure now) and send out a tech (he had an arch degree & contracting exper.) to do the necessary repairs for free/very low fee.

Maybe SB Co. EOC does too?

shout out to Mr. Bill Toller!

I have a green building certification and am a licensed general contractor. I also have access to an Infra-Red camera that will assist in locating deficiencies. Please feel free to call me.
