Can anyone refer me to a local bike dealer/person who is knowledgeable about antique Schwinn bicycles? Thanks.

Try taking it to The WheelHouse. If they can't help you, then they might be able to point you in the right direction.

If you're near the S.Y. Valley, Dr. J's Bike Shop is the place in Solvang. Corey & Sam know old bikes really well.

I wrote directly to Schwinn when I was restoring my Dad's late 1930s, early 1940s bicycle. They were pleasant and helpful. That was 2 decades ago though, so YMMV.

Hazards Cyclery on Anacapa, they were a Schwinn dealer back in the 40's and probably have the most knowlegble Schwinn Expert in the area. His name is Sergio.

Jim at BikeSmith's at 5441 Carp Ave in Carp (805) 684-3150. Yes, it's a drive, but if you want old-school Schwinn knowledge, he's the guy.
