Looking for referrals for a chiropractor that uses non-force technique in the SB/Goleta area.

Don't know what non-force technique is, but I love Barry Family Chiropractic. Dr Nicole tends to specialize on pregnant women so obviously knows how to work without being dangerous to a pregnancy. Dr Neal knows how to work with pregnant women, too, since he sees them too if his wife isn't available. They are both amazing at general chiropractic, too. I have been to a few others in the area before I knew about them. My OBGYN goes to them, too.

Well, it's ironic that I read your request because just recently someone told me that he goes to a chiropractor that uses a non-force technique, which is something that I had never heard of. So, I asked him for the chiropractor's name and phone number. He is Dr. Jason Reinhold at Energetic Chiropractic. Phone number (805) 708-0270. His is in Santa Barbara. The person who referred him claims that he has really helped his lower back. Since I have not gone to him myself, all I can do is pass this information along.

I personally have no experience with this form of Chiropractic, but according to the Directional Non-Force Technique web site, Drs. Alice and Linda Nelson, 962-4904, 324-A E. Carrillo St. (email: drsalicelinda@aol.com) appear to be what you are looking for. They are the only practitioners of D.N.F.T. listed in the Santa Barbara area.

For non-force chiropractic you should try Dr Joseph Flowers at 5370 Hollister (just west of Patterson) in Goleta. Joe has been on the Independent's "Best of Santa Barbara" list at least twice, and rightfully so. It worked for me! 964-2044 and drjoe12000@yahoo.com.

I "third" Dr. Monica McCoy, downtown SB on Canon Perdido. Very intuitive, caring, and dedicated to her practice. Note on Archie Allen recomendation: I saw him before seeing Monica McCoy and he is not non-force, trust me.

Dr. D'Ann Lawson of Lawson & Fisher on Arrellaga St. She uses chiropractic massage and is absolutely fabulous. I've been to 3 of the others recommended here and I'd go with D'Ann for sure.
