Cancer Hope Foundation

Cancer Hope Foundation provides a cost-free weekend getaway for adults with cancer and their friends and family. Most camps are for kids with cancer, which is an extraordinary service to offer, but there is just as much need for adults with cancer to have quality time with their families.
In addition, the time together allows spouses and other loved ones to connect with other people in their same position. The kids also benefit, as they are surrounded by other children whose parents are ill - - they don't stand out, and everyone understands what they're going through. Some of the campers are in remission, and others are in the middle of treatment. This is such a boon to those in treatment, as they are able to connect with those that have been there and made it through.
Although the foundation is headquartered in Ventura County, campers from all over are welcome. Camp Keepsake has hosted Santa Barbara families in each of its ten years.
