Bathtub Refinishing
updated: Aug 15, 2011, 6:58 AM
Specifically I'm looking for a recommendation of a place that
re-finishes bathtubs. There are businesses that repair and renew the
worn-out or chipped coating on a cast iron tub, and mine is in need.

Not sure if rebath is licensed - they never show a license number (required by law) in their tv ads.

Highly recommend BathCrest. Michael is a sole proprietor and works with great care and attention to detail. He has refinished an antique tub and sink for us. 965-0715

John at Pacific Porcelain did ours and we are very pleased with the result. Altho it has to be redone every few years. We still haven't had to replace the tub!

I recently needed my bath refinished so I used this thread to call around. For our bath (no shower surround) that needed to be also be stripped before finishing: BathCrest quoted $620, Classic Tub in TO wanted $460, and Pacific Porcelain wanted $475. Also there was one company "White Rock" that quoted $275 but after some research discovered horrible, horrible reviews. Being a cheapo I ended up doing it myself with a $25 Rust-O-Leum kit and about 8 hours of my time. Probably not as nice as these places, but a thousand times better than before.
