Train Lights
March 26, 2009

This picture was taken next to the train tracks. Duh. Those of you with a one-track mind might think that there is only one train game in town. But if you think small, and if you think Goleta, you'll recall that a miniature track runs through it at the South Coast Railroad Museum. It's next to the Stow House. There, you can take a short ride on a miniature train.

The Goleta Short Line miniature train ride operates year-round -- weekends from 1:15 to 3:45 pm, and Wednesdays and Fridays from 2 to 3:45 pm. It takes nine minutes to travel the half-mile circuit. That's three miles per hour, when you do the math.

Identifying the location of the signal earned contestants 4 March Edness points.
