New Cottage

Development on the new Cottage Hospital started back in 2005, and continues today. One of the first buildings to be completed was at the corner of Junipero and Bath Streets. On the outside, the building looks like the fancy new, vacant, mixed-use project on Chapala, that building on Garden whose week-to-week progress was documented on Edhat, or perhaps the Granada Garage. But, on the inside, it is full of nothing but industrial equipment.

It's the Energy Center that will provide enough utilities for the entire new hospital and beyond. Don't believe us? Just peek through one of the windows. You won't see doctors, nurses, or patients, just boilers, pipes, and digital readouts.
