The bird in the picture shown yesterday in our March Edness contest is not real. Otherwise, Ed admits, the picture would have been too hard, even for the final week of our super-competitive competition.

If it was a real bird, it would be swooping down on the fishing boats, stealing their catch, or it would be snatching French fries off of restaurant tables. But, it is not real. And instead of performing acts of thievery, it just sits atop the roof at Brophy Brothers, day and night, rain or shine, 24/7, 365 days per year.

They say a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. In this case, a bird on the roof is worth five March Edness points.
