If you've heard the chants from the opposing crowds at Dos Pueblos High School games, you might think that the Farmer image is something about which Goleta is ashamed. But in 1999, when it came time to update the Fairview Shopping Center from its classic 1950's look, the Farm Theme was the theme they chose.

When the new Center opened up in 2004, they opened the barn door to a shopping Mecca that, in Ed's humble opinion, looks like a LEGO farm set, without the plastic cows.

One feature of the farm is a tower that stands above Radio Shack like a radio tower, or maybe more like a grain silo. Whatever it is, it's very farm-like. And, it was the subject of a very easy to identify, two-point March Edness picture.
