Bar-b-que
March 18, 2009
The City of Santa Barbara describes it this way on their website, "Shaded by huge sycamore trees, this large group picnic area can host a group of approximately 80 people and has a large stone barbecue. This is a perfect location to enjoy a day in the park with friends and family."
And it was the large stone barbecue at Oak Park that was shown yesterday for March Edness identification. As we noted in a previous Edhat, there are 118 oaks trees in the park that uses their name. But this area inside the park is called, the Sycamore Area, named after its trees.
The Sycamore area is in the back, on the other side of the creek from the tennis courts. The stone barbecue is the perfect spot to throw a shrimp on the Barbie (self-esteem issues aside), or just to sit and read a poem.
Identifying the location of the BBQ earned contestants three March Edness points.
