Let there be Light
March 11, 2009
This retaining wall art is on the beach between Fernald Point and Summerland Beach. There is a lot of art/graffiti/wall decoration along this stretch, including a painting of Gumby and a square that says "Bobby Kennedy" in cursive. The paint on the "LIGHT" license plate includes a date of May 1968, leading to the question of whether there is any connection between this painting and Kennedy's assassination one month later of that same year. What's the scoop? If you head on down the beach to investigate, you'll enjoy a beautiful walk and pass the crumbling Miramar en route.
Identifying the location of the sign earned contestants 5 March Edness points.
