Habit Dome

Every time we have ever done a Best of Santa Barbara Survey (BSBS) about hamburgers, the top prize goes to The Habit. Whether it's the original one on Hollister in Goleta, the one you stop at on the way home from East Beach on Milpas, or the one downtown that blasts smoke signals from Dargan's to the Metro Four, the Habit is a popular place to partake in patties and potatoes that can please your palate without puncturing your pocketbook.

The newest burger bistro with the addictive name in Santa Barbara is at La Cumbre Plaza, behind Vons, where the natural food store used to be. When they transitioned the restaurant from health food to hamburgers, they added a yellow and white-checkered dome on the roof. And, that dome was the subject of yesterday's March Edness picture.
