Santa Barbara Studio Artists (SBSA) is a nonprofit organization of professional fine artists dedicated to raising the profile of Santa Barbara as a destination for the arts.
The organization is also dedicated to providing recognition and opportunities for participating professional level studio artists working in the visual arts in the Santa Barbara area. Santa Barbara Studio Artists arranges small group joint exhibitions, group tours, and other opportunities for the Santa Barbara arts community.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Santa Barbara Studio Artists Open Studios Tour, taking place on August 27 and 28. During this two-day, self-guided tour, guests can experience world-class art and a view inside Santa Barbara's leading artists' private studios through Santa Barbara's alluring back roads, charming neighborhoods and estates.
10th Anniversary Open Studios Tour: August 27 & 28
On Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28, 2011, the Santa Barbara Studio Artists present the 10th Anniversary Open Studios Tour.
On August 27th & 28th, from 11 am - 5 pm, guests can experience world-class original art and a view inside Santa Barbara's leading artists' private studios. The two-day self-guided driving tour will lead guest to artists' studios through Santa Barbara's stunning back roads, charming neighborhoods and estates.
Since its inception in 2002, Santa Barbara Studio Artists Tour has doubled in size and Open Studio Tours have gained popularity across the country as a way for artists to showcase their work, for communities to attract visitors, and to give art collectors the opportunity to purchase directly from artists at studio prices.
Distinguishing Santa Barbara Studio Artists from other Open Studio Tours, SBSA membership is juried and participating artists are top professionals in the visual arts. Many of their works have been showcased on the walls of prestigious galleries, museums and private and corporate collections from New York and Los Angeles to Paris and elsewhere.
Preview Exhibition: August 4 - 28
A month-long preview exhibition and an Opening Artists' Reception are also scheduled as part of the 10th Anniversary festivities. The Tour features a treasure trove of world-class original art and a view inside Santa Barbara's leading artists' private studios. Tour guests will discover an award-winning wonderland of landscape, contemporary, and figurative painting, as well as sculpture and assemblage.

Month-long Preview Exhibition
The month-long Preview Exhibition features works from the Santa Barbara Studio Artists and gives attendees the opportunity to plan which of the more than 40 studios to visit during the two-day tour.
Date: Thursday, August 4 through 28.
Time: 10 am - 6 pm Mon-Sat, 10 am - 2 pm Sun
Location: Santa Barbara Frame Shop and Gallery, 1324 State Street Ste J, across from the Arlington Theatre
· Opening Artists' Reception
The artists will be in attendance during this festive soiree with one piece of each artist's work on display. Collectors and tour participants are invited to meet the artists and enjoy food and wine.

· Open Studios Tour (Main Event)
