Call Precision Auto Body & Paint and they will probably direct you to the Auto Dentist. Sorry I don't have his number at hand, but that is whom they recommended. Precision Auto Body & Paint has a very solid reputation in town for @ least the last 25 years, so they won't steer you in the wrong direction. Over 20 years ago, a lawyer ran a red light and plowed into my year-old, Toyota pick-up truck. None of the other auto-body joints in town wouldn't even consider touching it. Precision went out to the wrecking yard where it was being held, looked for some time thru the cyclone fence and told me he could fix it. He did. It lasted for another 18 years -- with no problems.

Depending on how big the dent/ding is you might google removing dents with a can of air (used to clean out computers et.) and a hair dryer. The dent is heated then you apply the air around the edge of the dent woking it to the inside of the dent. I've done it and it works. There is also a way it can be done with dry ice but I haven't tried it. Again, it depends on the size of the dent.

I'll second Dent Experts, they did a great job on the nose of my Alfa Romeo after it was hit-and-run in a parking lot.

I'm sorry but I would not recommend the Dent Experts. My car (and several others parked on the street) was shot at with a BB gun. The Dent Experts (Goleta) told me it would be a difficult repair and I would probably still be able to see some of the impact area. Well - they were right. I took pictures for insurance before and after and they look the exact same. Every time I think about it - like now - I wonder if they even did anything. Their response was "we told you it would be a difficult fix,... $200. please". I was shocked they wanted the full fee even when admitting it looked the same as it did before they "worked" on it... never again. Though it feels good to vent.

The Auto Dentist has done several repairs over the years. They have done what I thought could not be done. Just remember if the paint is damaged, it will be necessary to have body and paint work to make it look like new

I have reservations about Dent Expert's "paintless" dent removal. Kaylee came out and gave me a $1100 estimate for full repair of a door scrape, painting and all, or $300 for paintless, which would be "80%" better. Well, the top of the scrape was maybe 80% better, but the bottom looks like they used an awl from the inside to try to bang it out, and it looks 100% worse. Really abominable. What were they thinking???

Several of you suggested the Dent Experts and I wanted to share the positive outcome with you. Two hours after calling they were at my house to give me an estimate. The clearly explained that the (basketball size) dent in my Explorer’s front quarter panel could be taken out although not to the showroom standards of traditional replacing and repainting the panel. On the other hand the estimate was just $175 and I had previously been quoted $1,500 at another body shop for full paint and repair. This is an older Explorer with a resale value of only $3,000 - so a $1,500 repair makes little sense. They did the job the following day and had it done in just four hours and at the exact price as the estimate. They even gave me a ride back and forth from their shop. The result is very good. Yes, I can see some imperfections but I also know exactly were to look and I need to point them out to others. Bottom line, it looks a lot better and while not showroom, it matches the rest of the car. The $175 was a great deal and I would use them again without hesitation.
