Scanner Report - July 27
updated: Jul 27, 2011, 5:19 AM

By Roger the scanner guy

Middle of the Week everything is beautiful and serene here as usual. I love how the DA's talk up a case here as if the convicted criminal is going to fry, or at least get life.

When they are sentenced it's scrap. This guy Martinez is convicted for torture, assault with intent to commit great bodily injury, and personally inflicting great bodily injury, Per The Daily Sound. Torture alone is supposed to be a life sentence.

Then the other DA scums along the defense attorney, then there's the considerations, and the deals back and forth till the crime is whittled down to about nothing. On a 14 year sentence with good behavior many prisoners get half time. If this guy has been inside already for a few years even in county that time counts.

Even though the District Attorneys office is going to oppose future parole dates to attempt and keep Martinez in prison for life. It also states in the article that 14 years is the maximum sentence allowed. I don't know if this guy has been in County jail since 2006.

If so he has already served over half of his time. His first consideration for parole should be scumming up soon. Who is Justice really for? Not the victim Justice is a business to keep all that work within employed. This is my opinion and I approve of it.

This morning I was walking past Jack's Bagel on Milpas at Canon Perdido. There was the usual panhandlers out there and a big guy although a little smaller than I, staring at the panhandlers while he drank his coffee. He looked angry like he wanted to kick some buttkins.

I really wanted to ask him if he had some spare change, but sometimes my jokes fail and I decided to keep my mouth shut...:) I re examined the photo of the body of thee face down gorilla one sure fire way to tell if someone is dead or not. He still had his shoes on but if I walked up on that scene he would not have the shoes alive or dead, they look like my size.

So my question being where was the last known location of the gorillas body? Belinda went to go check out some class this morning on the Eastside somewhere off Montecito street..The birds were singing the bees buzzing, the sun shinning it twas a perfect morning, she was searching but could not find the place.

Somehow while riding her bicycle she had a little disagreement with a car load of gang members. We could hear her coming home all the way down the street screaming about how gang members should all be sent to Iraq! Blah de blah, blah..This is how she got the tag Ballistic Belinda.

I think she didn't really want to go to the class, or she would have axed questions and found the place. She told me her and the gang members were yelling back and forth but knowing her as long as I have I bet those gang members were beating feet to get the HELL away from her....People have been commenting about their eyes being irritated, maybe something in the air. I got a real good case of something yesterday I could hardly breathe.

I have been hearing a lot of difficulty breathing calls on the scanner being the special hypochondriac I am I did a NeilMed sinus rinse and it kicked the problem right on down the road. NeilMed products can be found at RiteAide for about 12.00 bucks. When you rinse your sinuses always use distilled water cause the regular stuff will burn.

One of my good fiends is having a yard sale this weekend in Goleta if anyone is interested it will be listed for FREE in the classifieds, we do have FREE classifieds just in case someone might have an old gorilla suit laying around they might want to get rid of..

No winners yet on where I got the word "Otter" to use in the Scanner Reports. I have hinted that I got it from a movie actually a scene in this movie. I don't want to make it too easy for you guys but what the HELL. Your second hint is that there is a dog in the movie and his name is "Sport" There not it's really easy for you guys to figure this one out. First one who guesses gets a 3 month prescription to Edhat what the HELL was the question again?
