I have friends coming to town who want to know the best Karaoke place in town. I have absolutely no idea, so sure would love some help.

The most POPULAR karaoke place in town is definitely Old Town Tavern (Orange Ave, Goleta) on Wednesday night. Not as crowded when UCSB is out, but there is still usually a wait to get in. Old Town also does karaoke on Friday, as does Tiburon Tavern (upper State across from Mackenzie Park). Monty's Sports Bar (on Hollister next to Woody's in Magnolia Shopping Center) does a pretty good karaoke on Thursday. If you are up on the Mesa, Cliff Room has karaoke Mondays and Thursdays, but it's usually dead when I go there. There are a lot of other places around that I have not tried...you can find them all at KaraokeSantaBarbara.com

Old Town Tavern in Goleta on Wednesdays is good. Show up early (before 9 PM) before Bill's Bus gets there if you want to avoid the college student madness.

Just an admonition that getting to Old Town Tavern early on Wednesday evening only guarantees that you will get in the door...there is NO escaping the college student madness.

Old Town Tavern has Karaoke Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Now that school is out, Wednesdays are less hectic. Have fun and don't drink & drive!

Tiburon Tavern on friday nights. Oldest running karaoke show in Santa Barbara and absolutely the best. Hosted by Dyno Mike.

Since I'm downtown, I prefer the Joyce on Sunday or Monday. Wildcat also does it on Monday. Madisons does Tuesdays.

Cliff Room Karaokee on the mesa is off the hook on Thursday nights! Ton's of fun! Starts at 9pm..

Old Town Tavern. A little bit of a divey bar but GMan is the greatest and the crowd is lots of fun. Great drinks :)

They sometimes have it at the Creekside on Hollister ave. just west of the R X R overcrossing!
