I have a 1969 GMC pickup truck that is making a whining noise from the engine. Might just be a bearing in the generator or power steering, might be worse. I'm looking for a trustworthy, reasonably priced mechanic experienced in older models GMC or Chevy pickups to diagnose and fix the problem.

GM Automotive on Alamar/ DLVina....used them for smog test and then went back for service on my 99 Ford Expedition...highly recommend....found here on Edhat! Awesome husband and wife operation, very nice, very honest, plus, gave me a ride home!

Airport Motors out in Goleta! Trustworthy, fair, been around forever, and I've never had to bring a vehicle back a second time. On the other end of town, we've had a really good experience with Village Motors in Montecito, as well. Good luck!
